A Potential New Model for EHR - Push Notification on Medicine Expiry

The Potential New Model for EHR that sends push notifications when the patients medications are about to expire.

EHRs (Electronic Health Records) still require a physician to remember to check them periodically or even set an alert to remind themselves, all of which equals out to more labor by clinicians — not to mention more of their cognitive space.

One simple solution implemented in tech experiments? Sending physicians push notifications with filters set e.g. when their patients’ medications were about to expire, or alerts for abnormal labs.
