CardioVisual is pleased to announce a digital education partnership with Itamar Medical, an Israeli company that designs and develops sleep apnea diagnostic products. CardioVisual will host Itamar’s educational videos on our platform so that physicians can share with their cardiovascular patients impacts of sleep apnea on CVD. Obstructive sleep apnea has been shown to increase the risk for stroke, sudden cardiac death and cardiovascular mortality. 1-3 The treatment of obstructive sleep apnea has also been shown to reduce AFib recurrence post ablation. Through CV, Itamar’s videos will describe the importance of diagnosing and treating sleep apnea as well as the clinical benefits of Itamar’s WatchPAT  home sleep apnea monitoring device. They hope through this educational partnership to improve outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease.
